Dr. Stanley Levy has been Director of Medical Affairs for Almay for twenty five years. In that capacity, Dr. Levy is intimately involved in the research and development of all Almay products, reviewing new ingredients and formulations and monitoring pre-market safety and efficacy testing. As basic research and new technologies evolve in dermatology and skin care, Dr. Levy facilitates their incorporation into Almay . Dr. Levy assists Almay with its Professional Service Center and associated programs designed to consult and communicate with health care professionals. He also acts as technical liason between the Revlon Research Center and the Revlon Consumer Center.
Dr. Levy is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and a Clinical Associate in Medicine at Duke University Medical Center. For over twenty-five years he has maintained a private practice in dermatology in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Born in New York City, Dr. Levy did his undergraduate work at Queen's College, City University of New York and graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine where he also did his medical internship. He spent two years in the Public Health Service and three years in residency training in dermatology at Duke University. Dr. Levy has a special interest in the safety and efficacy of cosmetic, skin care and sunscreen products and is the author of over 30 publications in this area. He has lectured nationally and internationally on these topics.
