"I really liked this product at first, but only after a few uses, I started having an allergic reaction to it. My eyelids itched and swelled up, earlobes also, and red, itchy blotches on my face. At first, I thought it must be caused by something else, because Almay has HYPOALLERGENIC front and center on everything. Hmm, not so much, and I see I'm not the only one this has happened to."
"It does what it says it will. I use over a serum and moisturizer. No allergic reaction. I found the scent very light and haven't really noticed it. You have to experiment with it. Too much, too little. You have to find your just right for you. A little goes a long way. I do not use it every day, but I do use it frequently. It's an easy, one two, three application, some eyeliner, mascara and blush and I'm good to go. I am pretty fair skinned, so I haven't personally noted a "white" cast. It's a good product for me. If the one you are using appears to be too light, consider the next shade, That might be your ticket to success!"
"Allergic reaction. I have never had an allergic reaction to any other makeup and I have been wearing foundation makeup for 31 years. My face is itchy and has red hives. I had a reaction a couple months ago as well, but wasn't sure if it was the almay foundation, then or a sunscreen. Yesterday I put on the almay foundation with no other products. This morning, my face itch is so bad and has hives. I wouldn't risk using this product. I thought Almay was supposed to be a good brand. I guess not. Never again."
"I really love this stuff, only one bad thing about it you really need to put expiration date where people can see it, I’ve spent 48 dollars on 4 of them and they were expired, and did not change color stayed white on my face, now iam afraid to buy it now, cause of that, I can barely see expired date,"

"Major breakout after several uses. At first I was very impressed and thinking, “ I’ve found my new everyday foundation”, as I thought the color blending was good and it didn’t seem to cake or dry out my skin. But after several uses, I had some atypical breakouts and at first I didn’t make the connection. But after multiple uses and horrific breakouts, even on my eyelid and earlobe, I have come to the conclusion that this product doesn’t agree with me. I wish it had because I really did think the color matching was good and the product felt light and comfortable on my skin. I tend to have slightly sensitive skin, but this extreme breakout is like nothing I’ve experienced in my adult years. This reminds me of horrible teenage acne when I wasn’t as diligent at washing my face and I routinely went to bed with a face full of makeup and I wore heavy foundation. Anyway, my hormones are not raging, I have good skin care, have no history of any breakouts as such in recent years, so the only think I can attribute this to is adding this product to my beauty regimen. I’m glad to hear others are not breaking out as I have, because I really did like the product until my whole face had these breakouts. I wont include pic of the breakout, It’s too embarrassing to look like this"
"Don’t believe negative reviews. I have tried everything, liquid, sheer tints, baked, mineral powder, and I keep reaching for my Almay smart shade light. The coverage is beautiful. It’s hydrating. It stays and stays and stays. It really is the best I’ve used and I am very happy with it. I hope they don’t discontinue it."
"I’ve tried many light weight foundations. i won’t go anywhere without makeup (I’m 57) I’d wear my expensive full coverage all the time because I couldn’t find a light weight inexpensive one that covered and stayed on. well for all you girls that are like me (feel naked with no makeup)this is the best ever!going to the gym,the post office,dropping the kids off whatever you’re doing!keep your expensive makeup for special occasions!💃🏼this goes on so easy and covers my dark spots but is still a light weight daily foundation…also I wear contacts and this is so light I can put it all over my eyes and eyelids and it doesn’t bother them. most foundations bother my eyes I’m very sensitive. love this product!"
